Best Seller Book: Glass Castle. Used in course, now a movie
Many nursing homes and assisted living facilities might be struggling with many of the same issues as Jeanette, the star of Glass Castle wrote about.. For those of you, who thought it was one of the "best books you had ever read", you may be glad to know it has been made into a movie which will be opening in theatres Aug. 11, 2017.
The diversity courses Medical Update now has for Nursing Home Administrators, Assisted Living Managers and Activity Professionals available now as a way to earn continuing education are: PTSD (10 CE hours), The Realities of Aging (15 CE hours), Lifelines for Alzheimers (6 CE hours), and Generation Me (12 CE hours). Each is designed to help you understand how different groups struggle through life day to day. I assure you if we can work with NAB and determine a way for you to earn credits by watching the move Glass Castle as opposed to reading the book, we will offer this option.
